CULT. Apartment in Moscow

"Modern, clean, and minimalist — but not cold." That was the client's request when we began work on this project.

The design concept was born in an unexpected place — at the airport, where the contrast of metal and warm wood sparked the idea of using stainless steel as the key material in the interior.
The original developer layout was almost untouched: an open living space, two private bedroom zones, and a laundry area. Our main goal was to create a sense of unity — a continuous flow where every part of the apartment feels like part of a whole. Consistent materials, hidden storage systems, and tall, seamless doors helped achieve a harmonious, clean space while maintaining privacy where needed.
A central feature of the living room is a double-sided sofa — perfect for both movie nights with the family and relaxing with a view from the windows.

The visual simplicity of the space hides a high level of functionality. There are almost no visible cabinets or interior doors — which was both a design challenge and an achievement for our team.
One unique surprise: the client didn’t want a traditional TV. Instead, we installed a retractable screen in the living room, allowing the shelving system to become the focal point when the screen is hidden. A rare request — and a refreshing one.

Materials played a defining role: wood paneling, stainless steel, microcement floors, and soft lighting created a character that is both enduring and elegant. Every element was chosen to age beautifully and enhance the everyday experience of living in the space.
