The interior of this two-level apartment in the legendary Narkomfin building is inspired by the history and spirit of the place. We approached the design of this space with love, imagining ourselves as its inhabitants. This feeling was especially close to us, as we not only created the project but also worked in this building for several years, absorbing its energy.
Our project is a tribute and expression of gratitude to the masters of Constructivism for their invaluable contribution to global architecture. The architecture of the Narkomfin — with its high ceilings, huge windows, and panoramic views of the city — creates a mood all on its own. We saw our task as highlighting these strengths and preserving the authentic atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the works of Constructivist architects and artists of that period.
We aimed for simplicity and functionality: clean lines, strict geometry, and a restrained color palette.
The project became a laureate in the “Private Interior Design” category at the international “Dom na Brestskoy” award.
The opportunity to work on the interiors of this building has been a true joy.
